My name is Whitney Frost. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Colorado as well as a National Certified Counselor, certified by Postpartum Support International in diagnosing and treating disorders associated with pregnancy. I graduated from Regis University with a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health and a Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma State University. I am a member of Chi Sigma Iota National Counselors Honor Society, Alpha Phi Women's Fraternity as well as a Certified Counselor with the NCC.
I have been working in the mental health field since 2013 and my clinical experiences range from human services and child welfare to long term care and the elderly and hospice to the growing workforce and career coaching, to most recently community mental health. I opened my practice in 2019 as a means of bridging the gap for more women in need of mental health services that were unable to access care in their community.
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, postpartum mood disorders, women’s health issues, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, new parents, parenting concerns, general life stressors and transitions, aging, and quality of life improvement.
I am most passionate about working with mothers transitioning into parenthood as well as other life transitions—moves, relationship changes, job changes, marriage/divorce, relationship changes, college transitions, etc.
On a personal note, I believe that laughter is the best medicine, I try to incorporate humor into my therapy practice when appropriate. I am a mother myself and spend my free time with my beautiful family. I was born and raised in Oklahoma but call Colorado home.
I look forward to connecting with you on your journey!

You have the tools and wisdom to reach your goals and full potential, it’s my job to help you access them and use them successfully. I believe in using a broad scope of skills and evidenced based practices depending on the client and their needs. I am clinically trained in Dialetical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and various other counseling approaches. My theoretical orientation aligns with Person-Centered approach, existential therapy, humanistic therapy approaches, and some behavioral based models. (blah, blah, therapist talk.)
